Provisional Personas

How to Create Provisional Personas

Often referred to as a Proto Personas, Provisional Personas leverage project stakeholder's intuition and anecdotal evidence, used to create an outline for future research endeavors. Unlike a buyer, marketing, or UX persona, Provisional Personas require very little upfront investment, are not backed by actual data, and should not replace real research. This activity is best used to identify gaps in knowledge, prioritize the importance of the missing information, and to plan future research.
