A Practical Guide to User Experience Insights

Product Simplicity, Cognitive Overhead and Drunk Participants

Occasionally we’ll come across an article that speaks to the tenants of user experience testing that we hold most dear.  This article comes from Techcrunch and it was written by the founder of the iPhone app, Bump. Side note: Bump is a wonderful product. We encourage you to take 10 minutes to read the article, and don’t forget to test out bump. Overall, we couldn’t agree more with David Lieb, but we’re not sure if we’re ready to start recruiting drunk participants. http://techcrunch.com/2013/04/20/cognitive-overhead/ Let us know what you think in the comments below.

“From beginning to end, everyone I interacted with from Usability Sciences was professional and thorough. I was impressed with the testing technology, the methodology and especially the team that led the project. This is one of the most impactful pieces of research I have ever delivered to my team. Thank you!”
