A Practical Guide to User Experience Insights

Smartphone, Tablet, or PC?

Last week we posted an infographic showing which devices customers prefer for different activities such as reading books, listening to music, or editing spreadsheets. Today we we’d like to share another infographic.  This one speaks more for demographics of customers in relation to those same devices, smartphones, tablets, and PCs. When targeting customers it is important to consider not only what they are doing on their device but how they are using that device.  This helps to more accurately target potential customers, and to help grow business. Understanding the income level of a tablet user shows us where to advertise, or whether or not to optimize every portion of our websites for mobile use.  Similarly, finding out if tablet owners also possess a smartphone helps to determine which points of contact we would be best served going after. Take a minute to check out the infographic below.  If you have any questions feel free to contact us here.

“From beginning to end, everyone I interacted with from Usability Sciences was professional and thorough. I was impressed with the testing technology, the methodology and especially the team that led the project. This is one of the most impactful pieces of research I have ever delivered to my team. Thank you!”

“USC managed tight timelines and a client team that was tough to wrangle, But more importantly, the quality of the work was exemplary. It's work I would hold up as "the way we should do things" and share as a case study across the organization.”
