Tour Our Labs
Usability Sciences manages five state-of-the-art labs in our Irving office. Each lab consists of two adjacent rooms, connected by a one way mirror, and is wired for digital audio and video recording. An additional separate client viewing room is set up for each lab. For each test session, the test participant sits in one room, where they perform pre-defined tasks on our clients' products, websites, software, or hardware applications. The two-person usability analyst team sits in the adjacent room, where they moderate and record the entire testing session, including the test participant's verbal and facial reactions and their interaction with the client's product or website. Most usability testing sessions last from one to two hours. At the end of the test, each participant is given a satisfaction survey to measure their overall user experience with the product or site, as well as capturing their final thoughts and reactions on camera.

Client On-Site Testing
Most of our clients prefer for us to conduct usability tests in the Usability Sciences labs. However, we are also able to conduct on-site usability tests for clients using portable lab equipment. This equipment allows up to replicate our office-based lab environment, minus the one-way mirror. Usability tests are conducted in the same manner on-site as they are in our office-based labs. To date, our usability analysts have traveled all over the world to conduct on-site usability tests. We have performed usability testing in North America, South America, Western Europe, Japan, and China. We are also capable of conducting multi-language usability tests for our clients when needed.
