Focus Groups
Focus group studies are used for clients needing to gather group feedback from specific target audiences. Focus groups are useful for:
- Evaluating proposed product or website designs
- Comparing product or website features against competitors
- Testing a new product, service, or website concept
- Gaining insight into how participants perceive a client's brand
Focus groups can occur anytime within the site development or deployment cycle since the timing is predicated on the objectives of the specific focus group. We recommend at least two sessions per focus group.
Focus Group Project Structure
- Number of Users per Group: 6 - 8
- Number of Groups: 2 - 3
- Recommended Stage in Development Cycle: Anytime group feedback is required, though primarily conducted during concept stage
Focus Group Deliverables
- Within two days of focus group completion, a report that includes a summary of user comments and recommendations, analyst observations, and survey results, if applicable, is provided
- Digital video recordings and transcripts of each focus group session are also available
