Going Digital
In an ongoing effort to improve our services and provide our clients with the latest and greatest technology, Usability Sciences is in the process of transitioning all of our labs to be 100% digital. With our three in-house labs, we currently have one lab capable of recording and transmitting each user session digitally. We are dedicated to having the remaining labs recording digitally in the near future.
Following are some benefits with the digital labs:
- Participant sessions can now be recorded onto DVD-ROM. These DVD’s will have a cleaner, crisper picture compared to recording on video tape as illustrated by the screenshots below:
Digital Recording (DVD)

Analog Recording (VHS)

- No more viewing on a TV with low resolution; view instead a projected image with the identical screen resolution that the test participant uses.
- Clients can now have the option to receive a highlight DVD which contains multiple clips from participants, covering a variety of topics.
These are just a few of the benefits that digital recording provides. As we step into the digital age, please look forward to continuous improvements in our services.
